I wanted to eclipse 70 miles this month but unfortunately I wasn't able to make it out yesterday. After attending a concert, that got slammed with a dust storm, on Saturday, my SO (who suffers from severe allergies) spent most of Sunday in bed. I was on caretaker duty. Today was just about finishing off a successful August as far as miles go. I am surprised that I managed as many as I did given how busy life gets around this time of year for me.

Tonight I went up to the saddle and back. Ran into a couple guys going up who were thinking about trying it in the dark. They had headlamps but I offered the advice to do it in the daylight first. Hopefully they turned around because the skies soon opened up and let forth a wind/rain/lightning bonanza.
