I took the longish dirt road toward the southern edge of Perry Mesa - I wanted to walk a section of the mesa edge I hadn't been to. It's not a great time-of-the-year for this: the grass is prickly and lots of foxtail, but not too hot yet and there's almost always a breeze up there.

I passed a small ruin I'd been to before and then took the edge west. Compared to the fantastic stuff on the other side of the Squaw Creek Ruin, the petroglyph quality and quantity drops off on this side. Still there were scattered glyphs to find. In a couple places there were concentrations of pottery pieces and some (very) low rock walls indicating small habitation sites. Not a bad day.
