The downside is back home the cooler doesn't work at all with dew points over 60. 
Youth Conservation Corps was doing some trimming and trail clearing on the Old Baldy. Overall the Old Baldy is in about as good a shape as I have ever seen it. After a break at Josephine Saddle it was smooth sailing along the Aqua Caliente to the turnoff to Carrie Nation. This is a steep unofficial route (with some variations), so the knees were talking to me on the way down. Trade off is you are cruising through a really pretty area with lots of shade and some stream action. Oh yeah, and a few old mining artifacts too.
