| no partners | | | Via Ferrata de Curalla is north of Passy, France, between Geneva and Chamonix. Great mountain but goes more sideways than up. Still, a nice level 2 climb with excellent protection and no surprises. There is a mix of horizontal passages and vertical climbs and three nice beam crossings. 20 minute approach from the parking lot. Takes a little over an hour. The best part of all is that directly behind you is the magnificent Mont Blanc. After departing the parking lot, turn left and go to the end of the road for a launching point for paragliders. There is a great cascade on the way in just NW of the road approach from Passy. |
