I kept waiting for the rain to stop and it finally did. Because of its southern exposure, the rock dried out nicely as I went up. Approach was not too bad, and the climb was challenging. 700 meters long and 300 meters elevation. I was tired at the end of this. Did both varients at the end. One is pretty unusual because of the roof-like overhang when you're just running out of gas. The return is quite long but beautiful. The best part of the loop was seeing a herd of 13 chamois, a deer like animal that inhabits the area. Really glad the weather held since this was our last day in this area. |
