The weather has been too nice up on the Peaks to pass up and even though I did not have the time for an Inner Basin approach, this delivered for me. It's fall, the weather is perfect, and the tundra has that nice smell it gets this time of year. I think it is the avens. I wanted to hike the Weatherford to the saddle, but didn't have the time with my noon start and so just went about 4/10ths of a mile down to a big rock sitting off the side. Calm and quiet, more so on the side of Agassiz. Summit 91 was nice, and I briefly was alone.
