The hike up through the Aspen forrest was super yellow, both on the trees and the ground. Really enjoyed the area up top where you are surrounded by all the peaks. It was a nice place to eat a snack and chill. Quite a few people out enjoying the day.
We knew the road had restrictions so we left Mesa pretty earlier. We arrived at the trailhead somewhere between 7-7:30am, probably the 5th car there. On the way out it was a different story, parking lot packed, overflow lot packed. When we got down the hill to the turn the FS had there road block in place. there was a lot of cars waiting, some of the people even cheered as we came out. |

Autumn Foliage Observation Substantial Majority of the Aspens were yellow. Up top there was still a few with some green, but a small percentage. I think we picked a good time. |
