Day 4 of my Fall Foliage Tour... :)

My Friend and I hit Ramsey Canyon again in the Morning and then decided to go up Huachuca Canyon and see what was happening in there...We drove as far as the Picnic/Campground Area and then Hiked up the Road from there...No Maples here, but the Sycamore was Peaking as well as some other Trees, especially down at the Main Picnic Area at the Start...We took a few Photos in there.... :) A very Interesting and Fun Encounter in there as well...After we turned around and were walking back down the Road, we encountered a Coues White-tailed Doe...She Froze and I was able to get some Photos of her from fairly Close. And then she finally Bounded Off...We continued our Walk back to the Truck and all of the Sudden, the same Doe goes Running past us, about 40 Feet to our Right, in the Woods. At first I thought something was Chasing her, but then she stopped and started Approaching us...Now my Friend got his Camera out and started snapping Photos as she came in rather Close again...Suddenly, she Bounded away again, but only went about 10 Yards or so and then started Jumping Around in the Air apparently in the Mood to Play...At this Point, I had to start Videotaping this, because it became so Entertaining and Strange...And I totally screwed up the Video, but you'll get the Idea...She kept Running up to us, jumping around and then Running Away...She must have followed us for close to a 1/2 Mile playing her little "Game"...All I can think of, was that she was either very Lonely and Happy to see SOMETHING that might want to Play with her, or she had never seen a Human before and just wasn't sure how she should act... She was probably still fairly Young and not very Wise...I worried about her since it was Hunting Season... :(

After we got done in Huachuca Canyon, my Friend wanted to hit the San Pedro RNCA to see if the Cottonwoods were changing, so we headed over there...The Cottonwoods were almost done actually, but we Hiked around and I even Birded a little around the San Pedro House before we ended the Day with a Sunset Shoot from there.... :)

So much Fun being in the Huachucas again after such a very long Time....Many things have Changed, some Dramatically, but a few Things haven't and it was Nostalgic... :D

Huachuca Canyon was Peaking...
San Pedro was almost Done....
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty & well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, totally worn out & proclaiming, "Wow What a Ride!"
