Not really a hike by how I would define it, more like a walk on a gravel path. But my kids wanted me to take them someplace besides South Mtn, and this was perfect for them. It was cold, cloudy, and windy when we started, and pretty much stayed that way. My daughter had fun fearlessly climbing all over the rocks, while my son stood on the trail, pouting almost the entire time. He got a cactus needle stuck in his hand near the beginning, thought he was going to die (seriously), and told me we needed to move out of the desert. That set the tone for the day for him. Nice little scenic trail for the kids, but not really something I would do again unless I was showing out of town guests around.
