Finally made it out to the White Tanks for the first time this year. I actually lived fairly close to them as a kid and used to hike out there all the time. Some friends and I decided to do Ford Canyon-Goat Camp today, which we used to do all the time as teenagers, although parts of the trails are very different than they were 20+ years ago--much easier these days. We started from the true Ford Canyon trailhead, went up Ford Canyon (my favorite part), came down Goat Camp, gave some of our extra water bottles to some lady who was hiking with her kids without any water ](*,)

, then decided to take South trail (boring), to Mule Deer (boring, plus it smelled like the backside of a horse) to get back to my car. Super fun day, passing certain parts of the trails kept reminding us of the various adventures (mostly shenanigans) we'd had out there many years ago.
