| partners | | We picked a great day to go to the Pima Saddle. Nice and cool at the beginning, plus the trail is shaded for a good bit of the way up. Some spots of sun coming down made it a little warm. Great day with 8 of my normal group. The Saddle is a short ways off Trail #62 (which continues on toward Kimball but turns sharply just before you reach the metal sign with "Pima Saddle" on it), but a worthy destination with A+ views in nearly every direction. The trail is very easy to follow except for parts above the Pima Spring. Watch for places where detours are needed because of rock slides and downed trees. We took our time and made several stops. Great day hiking in the Catalinas.
There is still some flowing water in parts of Pima Cyn and a nice pool at Pima Spring. |
