Pima Canyon is one of those hikes that has a long section of fairly level walking at first and then heads up steeply toward the end as you approach Pima Saddle and Mount Kimball. The hard part is when you are heading back and you are tired, the Pima Canyon trail seems to drag on and on, never seeming to reach the end. Beautiful hike during the summer monsoon season or just after, if you can find a day that is not too humid or hot. Have to watch for snakes along this trail, especially in the tall grassy areas. Pima Spring usually has water even when the stream is dry.
