Made a little exploratory trek to the Y Bar Tanks area. Pretty familiar with this trail now so the first 4 miles to the turn off for the tanks was a breeze. There are 2 spots were the locust has grown considerably since last month and reclaimed the trail. I managed shorts and a tank - top most of the day so nothing terrible. There are also 2 very active bee hives right on the trail in those first few miles. Following the old Y Bar trail down to the tanks was kinda lousy as far as loose rock and bushwacking, but expected. The scenery is beautiful down in that canyon. I took a break and a quick dip into a pool, very refreshing on a warm, sunny day. Climbing out on those rocks with damp to wet clothing wasn't my brightest idea. I noticed a cairn earlier while exploring so I went back and followed what amounts to a series of game trails back to Y Bar Trail. This route was much easier. Tons of ivy in the drainage above the swimming holes. I don't react terribly to it but even I pulled my socks up and watched my step. Once back on the trail it was a 2 hour roller coaster of rocks back to the TH.

Just a trickle near the source. Light flow by the time it reached the tanks.

Light trickle across the trail. Starts to collect in pools just below the trail.

Just a guess here. Seems lower compared to photos I've seen.
