Pre-sunrise hike and its great to be back in the Superstitions! I was the only car in the lot at 5:30AM so it was just me and the the full moon. It was so bright I didn't even need a flashlight as the moonlight transitioned to sunlight. Hiked up through Garden Valley and then up Black Mesa trail. There were a few pretty good campsites up on the saddle but good is relative when everything is surrounded by Cholla. Great views of Weavers and the surrounding valleys as you go down the hill. Hiked down to the Dutchman and made the loop back up to First Water and out. I haven't been out here since spring and how I miss the solitude and the desert!
