Awesome day to be in the desert. This was new territory for both of us. The range looked amazing in the a.m. as the rain clouds cleared. I was immediately lured in. The dirt road into the TH is a fun little drive. The trail itself is in great shape and easy to follow. The grade seems more gradual than it actually is. I was suprised to have picked up 2500ft in gain. The overcast seemed to be staying in place all day so we stayed cool, especially in the breeze on the summit. Awesome geology in these parts. Personally, I enjoyed the views. SoMo looked like an ant hill. Looking forward to returning during the winter. Gonna steal someone's Montezuma route next.
