Did a quick solo backpack trip to Hell's Hole. Hit the trail a bit late, and took my time enjoying the scenery. The crossing over Workman Creek was gorgeous. Had pine trees about half the way and the trekking umbrella kept me cool and shaded otherwise. The ridge before the descent into the canyon brought incredible views. The trek into the canyon was a bit overgrown, which kept tugging at my backpack, and had to watch my footing. About halfway down I could hear the creek flowing and picked up my pace in anticipation. And then the series of pools and small waterfalls came into view. The huge boulders, the lush green, the gorgeous flowing water, and pristine campsites made my mouth just hang open. Put on the swimsuit and sunned on the boulders and dipped into the pools. Amazing place, and not a single other person. Next morning packed up and headed back early, and was home by 11. Super quick turnaround trip, but magical all the same. Although not noted as official water sources on this route, Workman Creek was flowing nicely in two spots along the way.
