| no partners | | | Made it to the parking lot by 10AM and already a truck and horse trailer there. Started raining just after the creek crossing. Dark clouds and wind and a little hail. Descended into the campsite to find it empty. The owners of the truck and trailer must have went somewhere else. This campsite has seen better days really. The trash is piling up??? Found plenty of firewood all around. Big dog barked at 6:00PM, the owner showed up shorter there after. They were camped downstream up on the high ledge near the spring fed waterfall area. Turns out they had 2 people, 1 dog, and 8 goats. Cool folks. Winds continued all night Friday and into the day Saturday. Still managed to catch 4 trout. I took 2 pan sized rainbows down to my neighbors, hope they enjoyed... The dog followed me back to my campsite and hung around for awhile. The winds died down briefly at dusk but picked up again later and gusted all night long. My tarp was taking a beating...The hike out on Sunday was good. Found some people camped with kids right next to the parking lot... |
