I decided that it was time to head to Spur Cross. My intent was to hike some of the spur Cross trail past the park boundary on the north. arrived on a cool cloudy morning and got underway about 7:30. it stayed cloudy the first mile then once I crossed the creek the sun tried to break through a little but was largely unsuccessful. I enjoyed looking at the many saguaros that were on the hillsides above the trail Eventually I made it to the old corral which was my turnaround point for the day. The sun had given up trying to shine and it remained overcast throughout the return trip. While I hardly saw anyone going out the return trip saw an increase in hikers. Looking forward to doing this again and going a little further on the trail.
