With the schedule lightened up, cold over with and new boots in hand so to speak it was time for a short hike. Headed to the Apache Wash Trailhead to do a favorite little loop, up on the Sidewinder and back on the Apache Wash. Driving to the trailhead I marveled at how much of the brittlebush is still in bloom here in the last days of December. The sky was crystal clear this afternoon and the views to the various distant mountains were great. Hitting the trail a little after 2 I enjoyed a great hike sharing the trail with various hikers and bike riders. A wonderful restart to my hiking season.
