Marilyn and Bob joined me for the Friday morning hike in McDowell Mountain Regional Park.

We hiked Wagner, Granite, and Bluff, which led us to Stoneman Wash. We hiked parts of this wash and explored some of its tributaries. Return was via Granite and Wagner. These trails are in good condition. It was a pleasure hiking in the washes since recent rains have eliminated the horse churn often found in Stoneman. For the most part, the wash surfaces were reasonably firm and made for easy hiking.

We saw lots of butterflies and moths, a number of lizards, a javelina, a rattlesnake (probably Western Diamondback), a hawk, and an owl.
