| no partners | | When I meet Tracey and friends tomorrow after their AZT #25 SOBO backpack, my task will be to guide them to the Doll Baby ruins with the least amount of effort.
So today I set out to recon a few possible routes. But encountering a very well-defined trail for the short jaunt from the gate along Forest Road 406W up to the NE edge of the cliff, I figured the best thing would be for them to drop their packs near the gate, cruise up to the ruins and back without the extra weight, then gear up for the last 1.25 mile to Doll Baby TH.
Freed from my task of scouting other routes it was time for some exploratory wandering. First I headed off in the direction of Brushy Hollow, then looping back toward Tub Draw, back up on the ridge, then along the long-defunct 'Mine Road' back to Forest Road 406W. Then from there it was just the long road-walk back to Doll Baby TH. |
