Brought back memories of when I was a lot younger where the family would come out here and do the same, with a bucket and small pick. Once done, we hiked back down to the creek and had lunch and then made our way back to the trailhead. Saw two groups of folks riding horses and two pair of other hikers. Hard to beat this weather right now.
