| partners | | Been 3 years since I was at Tony's Cabin with Rick and his son Dustin, Wanted to show Roger something new, so I thought he would find the cabin interesting. Nice trip thru the Mine area and to the TH. Headed out and found the log crossing Pinto Creek, kind of shaky, but managed to stay dry. Everything went fine until we came up to a rope across the trail, no worries I said, just to keep the horses off the steep, slippery screed portion, after crawling hand and knees up and up i says, this is not right Had to get my pole out just to feel somewhat safe going back down !! On the way down a couple hollered up and asked if the views were great ( never got to the top to answer) They were gone by the time we made it down. Got back on the trail- Duh -
Well we made it to the next creek crossing, but over our boots, wasn't our day turned around and said we'll be back with water sandals next time, but all in all a great hike. |
