| no partners | | I like this hike. Short but steep. I was huffing and puffing at the top of peak #2, as usual, but it’s a nice view up top on any of the little peaks.
I found an actual trail to follow this time around. Last time, I parked in the wrong spot on the 88 and ended up hiking up an even steeper part to get up there.
I did not go to the first peak, as I was pressed for time, but I got the other three. I did the hike in reverse direction from the official route as I wanted to get up top for a sunrise. I should have gone the day before as it was a color explosion. Today’s sunrise was very mild, but it’s always nice to start you day on top of a little mountain/hill in the Superstitions.
There was a swarm of mosquitos that found me at the top and followed me across the “Little Motherlode”. I have never seen that many skeeters up there!
I was a slow mover today, but it was an excellent start to Leap Day |
