| no partners | | Another sanity hike for me! I decided to hit this cool little mountain for a sunset hike. The parking lot was fuller than I expected, but I only encountered a few other hikers on the way up.
I have done this one during the day and at sunrise, but never at sunset. I calculated the sun would set within view of the horizon from the top of this peak and even though it was a cloudless sunset, it was still a pretty one. Gotta love AZ.
Same hike as always. I noticed that the trail is getting pretty worn in some spots. Lots of people hit this trail now. There is an ammo can registry sitting on the bench now. I skipped adding my name. I was happy to see the angry bees that have been up there the last few times have moved on. No critters to report at all. I saw a rattler on my last hike up, but nothing on this one.
A nice quick two miles with a little elevation. I got my exercise, my fresh air and my sunset - sanity restored! |
