Break in the hot weather, so we made a quick run up to Payson. Saw the Alternate Route posted by JuanJaimeii (10.82 miles) and decided to go for it. It combines the Drew from See Canyon TH (3.6 miles) along with a walk on the rim (4.0 miles) followed by See Spring Trail #185 (3.5 miles)

The Drew trail is less traveled and a bit overgrown, but markers on the trees and the worn trail made for pretty easy following 2/5?.

Hike on the Rim was straight forward also, started with trail again following the tree markers. Eventually this gets on a road with various campsites for a while before intersecting with the Drew hike.

The Drew hike is well defined, and has a couple more nice scenic views.

Started at about 4:45 and finished up at about 9:30. Great morning hike!
