Parked in the Saguaro lot at Lost Dutchman just as the sun was rising , the clouds made for some nice colors, also they helped keep in yesterday’s heat as it was already 80°. Took the Discovery Trail over to Siphon Draw and started up only seeing 3 other hikers ahead of me encountered no one coming down at that time. The cloud cover and breeze kept the temperature reasonable but my t shirt attested to the humidity. The basin was empty of people and water. The trail to 3845 was better cairned than my last trip, lots of deer evidence along the way but no wildlife spotted. The “summit “ register jar was resting in it’s cairn, didn’t feel like pulling the register out of the narrow neck jar. Siphon Draw Trail was busier on the way down easily encountering more than a dozen, about the time I spotted two young men perched on top of the Gateway I met a couple from Show Low area who started shouting up to have them drop a rope down :D Decided to make a loop on the way back using Prospector Trail, Treasue Loop and Crosscut to return to the trailhead, was definitely getting warm by time I finished.
