I revisited a familiar area with Katie on Sunday. We hiked in nearly two miles on West Pinto and then took an extended break at a nice stretch of flowing creek.

We ran into a trail clearing crew after just less than a mile and a half and then hit a nice stretch of flowing creek and vibrant fall colors. We took an extended break at the creek and then returned the way we came. I was pleased to see they put up a fence at the old barn to block vehicles from driving out on to the “meadow.” I am grateful a large portion of this area survived the fire. The road in is in great shape.
