Rogers Canyon Trail #110

Since I drove up to Rogers trailhead last Sunday so I knew I could get past the hole. I'd say 4x4 is needed because the hole is deep enough you'll want to slow down and once the momentum is gone you need traction to get out. The drive drown is just braking so no trouble there. We got to the trailhead and the temps were cool but nice. West Pinto trail starts out okay then becomes not so good as you go down. It seemed easier to follow going down as I missed a few turns on the way up. As Chris said while you're losing the elevation it seems it's going to be a tough climb out but the grade and the breeze made for a moderate climb. The trail along the creek is gone in sections but where we climbed up you could see the trail continuing on above the creek. We finishing hiking before 2 pm and with the breeze it was still nice.
