Headed out to Cave Creek Park for a trek along the Slate Trail first stopping to get some pictures of the colorful balloons overhead. got underway about 8:55 with temps in the upper fifties. Even though I tried not to I still missed the turnoff to the Michelin Man. I would find it on my way back as the cactus is visible as you come back down the trail. Anyway I trekked a short distance past the Quartz Trail intersection. Coming back I took a break at the memorial bench. it was so quiet and such a beautiful day. So back down the trail I went stopping to pay my respects to "The Man". It was a moderately busy morning as far as hikers and bike riders go. It was good to get back to the area.
