Slate Trail - CCRP

The town has finished widening the Slate Trail for the first half mile east of the Surrey Hills TH. I have mixed feelings about loosing the pretty single track but change is inevitable or so I've been told.

The good news is that the town would not have spent the money to do this if the trail wasn't staying. With all the new homes going in up here we were afraid of losing this trail for good in the near future. The other good thing is that the tread is vastly improved for going downhill and the odds of falling on your

are now nil. I've posted a few photos of the work. It should look more natural in 4-6 months I think.
