| no partners | | I decided to do another Mount Ord hike today.
With the weather warming up I hit the trail at 5:30. The temperatures were comfortable on the hike until the last couple of miles before getting back to the TH -- I was glad to be going downhill in that stretch.
I imagine that I will try and do Ord a couple of more times before summer weather gets here -- it is a good training hike for some peakbagging that I have planned over the summer months.
On the way back home there was a car fully engulfed in flames on the side of the southbound lanes of 87, about 4-5 miles north of Bush Highway. The police were on the scene and it did not look like the fire would spread into the surrounding desert. I should have stopped and taken a picture of it but I didn't.

Wildflowers Observation Moderate There are still some nice flowers to see at the lower elevations. |
