Another day, another Mount Ord hike.

I saw 9 deer on the way up: 3 about 1/4 mile before I got to FR626; one about a mile or so after I started on FR626; and 5 about 100 yards before I got to the locked gate.

The oaks and other hardwoods on the upper part of FR626 have leaves now, so it is starting to look like summertime.

I did not encounter anyone else all day, which is par for the course for a weekday Mount Ord hike

Some deer brush is starting to bloom along FR626. There used to be a lot of it on FR27, but it got torched in the Bush Fire last year and hasn't come back yet.
