My nephew ran the 2018 Boston Marathon after qualifying with 2h 20 min. time so I wasn’t sure if we would be actually hiking together Claims he is only running 30mi a week now. Surprised with all the rain we were able to cross the low bridge at the start of Rory Gap Rd. to work our way over to the Seneca Rocks Trail. A little less crowded than expected for a Saturday. His dog Roxy was able to power up non stop on her leash as she doesn’t like to be passed . Fortunate to have a partly sunny day after this rainy week. Trail as usual in good shape with no deadfall and little erosion. The visitors center is back open after being closed last year.Followed the hike with an hours drive back to our cabin for refreshments! Kind of late on this entry but just getting back to wi fi availability. |
