Great temps today for a hike ,had to break my rule of no weekend hikes and also usually avoid consecutive day hiking. Few cars at Canyon Lake marina , on return was quite a mob all over Canyon Lake. Decided to go as far as La Barge but not the box, ended up scrambling up some rock formation overlooking the dry creek but soaked in some of the best views of the Superstition Wilderness. Appears this may be a weekend workout hike for some of the younger folks I saw , some even jogging up to the first viewpoint above the lake. Looked like a regatta going on in the lake and as mentioned parking lots were full with lots of roadside parking. Good workout with nice views but still a slog coming up from La Barge. Expect it might be the last cool day before October :(
