We've been out on the trail south of Camp Geronimo, where it climbs the blown-out stretch just across an old road, a couple times lately. FS has big plans afoot for the entire Highline and we are involved in a few segments, this being one. We'll add some gentle switchback-like route to get up that sandy hill that won't hold a trail.

On the way back while cutting a deadfall we noticed the fairy ring down near the creek. There's fungus among us.
