New River Road to I-17 - Maricopa Trail

Started 6:30am. Cool to start with but warmed up quickly. I'd done this section a year ago and felt like doing it again. Went east of 7th St. for about 2 miles. Returned to parking area and then went west of 7th St. for a little more than a mile. Clear day with good views.

I knew it would be one of the more remote sections of the Maricopa Trail, but I saw no one...not a soul...while I was out there. There was one other car in the small trailhead lot when I returned.
