| no partners | | My first attempt at a hike since my ankle sprain. I didn’t want to push it so my plan was just to hike directly to the spring and not do any extra of the main trail.
The drive in was even colorful so I was excited! It was a Monday so I didn’t expect many people, but there were about 5-7 cars there when I arrived. I wrapped up my ankle and got started.
Immediately I’m distracted by some little side paths and go exploring down there. The water flowing plus the foliage was awesome! I continued back on the trail and headed to the side path to the spring. This is where all the people from the parking lot were. Luckily most were headed out so I got to enjoy it without a crowd. I stopped and took pics a few times before I found a place I could relax.
I set up my hammock next to the creek and just relaxed for a while and elevated my ankle. It was very nice and peaceful! After I had my fill I hiked back out and then meandered across to a patch of trees by the far end of the parking lot. Lots of color but it’s almost past peak. Still very pretty and worth a visit. Apparently even doable with an ankle sprain! |
