On the way to Hill 2129 we ran across 6 wild horses. Surprised since there has been an effort to keep them north of Bush Hwy. They were pretty active, romping around in the wash as we passed by. One actually surprised us by circling around and coming up behind us. There was a colt with them so maybe it was being protective.
At the base of Hill 2129 I let Ryan take the lead on the climb up and down knowing that I would be taking a slower pace to make sure my insides stayed in tact Nice views all around.
Continued with the figure-8 loop I pieced together, stopping for a nice rest/snack to chat and just enjoy the solitude in the desert. Fantastic day. |
