At SoMo for the NTT bag pick up day, so might as well take a hike. I had never hiked from the Mormon trail head so decided to give that a go.

It's a mile of steady climbing to get up to the top but not bad. The trail was rocky, but good footing. Most of the rocks were level enough that you could walk on them. Nothing like the Holbert trail. It was plenty crowded like the Holbert trail.

At the top took a left onto Mormon loop. Took a break at the bottom near the National Trail junction for a snack, then up National Trail. Continued to Fat Man's Pass and through Hidden Valley. Then back to start again.

It was cool and overcast which made for perfect hiking conditions.
