Christmas day hike. Nice to be out in the fresh air. Trailhead parking lot was full and there were lots of large groups out. To get away from the crowd I took Bursera to National to Lost Ranch. There were some low clouds on South Mountain when I drove there, but they were gone by the time i made it to top of National Trail. For some reason large passenger jets were flying straight over the west end of South Mountain on approach to sky harbor which was unusual and loud. Aside from that it was a perfect day on the trail.
