| no partners | | A mid-morning to start hike of a clockwise loop starting on the south side. Needed elevation practice. Not a good day for me, hopefully just one of those "bad hikes" I have on occasion. I even backtracked back up part of a hill to see if I could go for the tower but nope, it just wasn't happening today... plus I was hungry . However, I got 'er done.
Two poppies, three lizards, a few quail, one hummingbird. Lots of Fiddleneck getting ready to bloom and some brittlebush already blooming.
Quite a few hikers and a few dogs.
WATCH: 4.9 miles (high point 2,081/ low point 1,375 feet) 139 avg bpm/166 max bpm (24% Zone 4 Anaerobic, 43% Zone 3 Aerobic and 32% Zone 2 Weight Control) burning 773 calories. Starting temp 66.1 degrees, sunny and 20% humidity finishing at 11:46AM |

Wildflowers Observation Light since my pictures didn't turn out the best I'll tell you: Desert Lavender, Globe Mallow, Brittlebush, Fiddleneck, Scorpion Weed, Bursage, some blooming Creosote. |

Oh, and once in awhile, don't forget to look back at the trail you've traveled. |
