| no partners | | Parked at bottom of hill. Hiked Counterclockwise. Very breezy heading west but perfect for hiking east. Lots of people and dogs on the trail today. New signs are up on the east side below the western humps. The signs are so small you have to walk up to them to see that they say Area Closed. I finished hiking the circumference and decided to do a little extra on the loop by adding the SW circle to Tonto 3.
Brittlebush is blooming pretty nicely now and lots of Fiddleneck. One Scorpionweed. Some of those little white popcorn flowers (forgot the name). Two lizards. Did my usual kicking rocks off the trail; something I consistently do now.
WATCH: High point 1,725/ low point 1,483. Avg bpm 134/max 176 (seems high) with 10% at anaerobic 39% aerobic, 46% weight control and 2.5% low intensity (must be for picture taking ) burning 496 calories. Temp 60.7 sunny and 26% humidity finishing at 3:14PM |

For me, sometimes it's just as much about the journey as the destination.
Oh, and once in awhile, don't forget to look back at the trail you've traveled. |
