|I took the Walkin' Jim loop counterclockwise, with a detour up the Big Jim Trail to Peak 3465.|
I seem to have trouble staying on trail, so I loaded some tracks on my GPSr last night. No big goofs today, but I did make many corrections. I was glad I had the tracks on my handheld; that's for sure. After all the rain we've had and it being early season for this hike, the trail is difficult to follow in places. Some areas on the north side are completely washed out or overgrown. A McLeod, loppers, and a day might be in order.
There were pools on the north side of the loop and the unnamed creek on the south side, had lots of pools and was trickling.
Looking at Peak 3465 on the approach is always a bit daunting. Love the views from the top of it. It gives me a smug sense of accomplishment looking back up at it on the return.
