| no partners | | Dog sitting stuff brought me over to west side of town for a nice change and afforded me opportunity to visit some places I wouldn't normally go to. Early afternoon start so went for short summit hike to be followed directly with some food and drinks at Lake Pleasant. Parked just across from the Marina at the junction of 87th avenue and W. Saddle mountain and made our way cross country toward the peak meandering through cactus and evidence of burros. Going up and down the mountain was very slow with calculated steps over bushes and rocks/boulders. At the bottom was very relieved to no longer watch every deliberate step and could walk freely. Also the road was tempting us so we beelined in that immediate direction. There was a barbed wire fence had to cross over and then again to get back to the car.
Then we paid 7$ to park inside marina and walk over to Dillons for food and beer. |
