| partners | | Really nice nature walk with these well mannered gentlemen! ( and some really cute and happy dogs ) We left promptly at 7AM and I was very grateful that we stopped at my favorite place so I could get the good French press coffee. The caffeine was very much appreciated. It was still slow going for me during all the uphill on this hike, but I felt pretty good.
I think my feet would have appreciated some stronger boots/shoes going up on Bluff Spring Mountain. My hiking shoes are pretty lightweight and the mesh didn't offer much in the way of protection against desert flora. I had to stop a few times to pluck cactus spines out of my feet during the hike ( twice on the way up and twice on the way down  ) .
Once we got off the mountain the hike back was pretty straightforward and easy. We pushed through the last couple of miles pretty quickly as we all anticipated getting to a brewery so we could have a proper meal and some beers.
Nice day, neat place and I'm glad I got to get outside in the Superstitions
