| no partners | | Started later than usual. Caught the bus from Leven to Elie at 9:45am and started walking just after 10:30. Still pretty chilly, mid-40s, but with a constant, unrelenting 20 mph wind. I took all precautions including my Merino buff. I'd like to take some of these temperatures back home where it's almost 100 degrees. I'm freezing and they're roasting.
The path is easy enough, not a lot of gain/loss, somewhat narrow in many places. Beautiful, but not as scenic as yesterday. Just a constant battle against the wind.
Got to Pittenweem around 1pm. Not a lot to the town. I think there's more in Anstruther 1.5 miles away. Good news is I'll only have to carry a full pack one more day, when I enter St. Andrews.
Weather report calls for rain the next few days. Hopefully light and maybe showers. |
