Peralta Foothills

I hadn't hiked the Peralta Foothills trails in a while and with the hot weather this seemed like a good spot to hit. I was kind of hoping I might find some new trails that were built and I did. Around the Old Horse Trail on the south end there was a new trail that had a sign on it that said it's the Summertime Trail. That paralleled the Old Horse Trail and headed west. I took it for about a mile and then headed north when I found a trail junction. The trail still headed to the west so there's reason to go back and explore. I also saw what appeared to be new trails that head south from the LGT that are east of the Carney Springs road/trail from that TH.

Temps weren't bad at first and then got pretty hot as the sun got higher in the sky. Took my time and hiked a little slower than normal, still didn't finish my Camelbak bladder before I finished.
