Opted for a shorter drive so I went to Hawes, haven't been there since last year. Parking at 5:30am was already hard to come by. Made a loop of Bush Lite, Wild Horse and Stinger Trails. Finished up by 9:30am, almost record time. The clouds made things cooler when they were around, but they kind of faded in and out. I was planning to make the loop a little longer but I took a bailout option to shorten it up by a mile or so. Saw one other hiker the whole time, several bikers. The bikers were pretty mellow for the most part, a few speed demons were still prowling, however. The trails actually weren't all that crowded compared to how tight the parking situation was. Bones from something (cattle, horses?) are nicely arranged to decorate the trails, so that's nice.
