| partners | | Some new area for me. Preston and I did a loop going counter clockwise, with 2 spurs. The first spur was out to Aqua Caliente Saddle (or Auga as the FS spells it), and then a few switchbacks down the trail to look at some of the trees. The second was Jack Mountain and Josephine Saddle.
Many members come here to hike this loop, it seems, but it was my first time. It was nice and has some good views of the higher terrain to the east. Jack Mt didn't have much to talk about, but it is summit. I didn't know Jack, but I do now.
If you like bear poop. The Agua Caliente is the trail for you. Piles and piles of it, all along the upper sections. Very impressive and fresh, too. Taste was a bit off. |
